Finally!!!
Plates
have been printed and mailed out to everyone. If you have
ordered you Virginia Tech plate and have not received it,
you need to contact the DMV. To order plates if you have not
done so already, all you need to do is go online or to your
local DMV office. Most DMV offices still do not have the Virginia
tech plates in stock, so they will more than likely need to
be ordered, but you can do that from the local DMV office
if you wish.
Please note:
Your plate(s) will be sent
to the address on your registration (not your application).
If your address has changed, please make sure your registration
is up to date (you do not need to update your plate application).
If there are any problems with your paperwork (i.e. you no
longer own the vehicle on your application), the DMV will
contact you by letter for additional information.
Important Note Regarding Registration Fees:
If you renewed your registration
within 3 months of receiving the plate, you will not owe any
additional fees.
If you have not renewed your
registration within 4 or more months of receiving the plate,
you will be required to renew your registration upon receiving
the plate.
Personalized Plate Applicants:
If you have not mailed in
your $10 fee increase (payable to VTAA), please send it in
to VTAA - PO Box 30471 - Charlotte, NC 28230. The Charlotte
Chapter paid the difference for those who did not send in
this fee increase, so we would appreciate your compliance
with this request.
We will update this page once
the DMV sends out the plates to make sure everyone receives
your plate(s).
