Summer Picnic - Sunday, August 12th at Freedom Park @ 4:00PM

• Email Invite & Post on website- Randi is going to send e-vite to David to send out. Randi & Jennifer will go shopping on Sunday to purchase food/drinks, etc. Jennifer will get the cake and Randi will bring the balloons.
• Invite rising freshman & their families- Mattox will send the list of rising freshman, so we can invite them and their families.

Community Service Event - Book Bash at Gateway YMCA

• Monday Aug. 13th or Tuesday, Aug 14th – We decide on Tuesday, August 14th. Lauren is going to check on how many people we are committed to having. She will be the point person for the event.
• Post on Website & Email Reminder- Lauren will put together write up regarding the event so David can post it on the website and it can be sent out in an email.

Football Bus Trips - David to post on the website so people can start signing up. Henry-Is it correct that the Clemson bus trip on a Saturday is cheaper than the BC trip on a Thursday?

• Clemson- Saturday, October 6th
  • $40 per person until 9/3, $50 per person until 9/15 (no refunds after 9/15)
  • Leave from Park Road SC; Game tickets are not provided
• Boston College –Thursday, October 25th
  • $50 per person until 9/3, $60per person until 9/30 (no refunds after 9/30)

Football Watching Parties – Franklin has confirmed with Brad that we are all set for the games.

• Map & Parking information on website – Franklin will work with Randi to get a map & parking directions posted on website.

Financial Update – Year End financials have been submitted to B-burg. We have a little more than $1,000 in cash. Jonathan will call Craig to straighten out the Golf Tournament Money & Deposit. We raised $2,700 from working the Wachovia Championship.

• Upcoming opportunities – John is going with Knights of Columbus to the speedway at the end of the month to discuss possible events that we could work.

Go around the table

• Update from Blacksburg – Seth is engaged and is moving to ATL. Effective Monday he will no longer be with VT. We do not have a replacement liaison yet.
• New Event Suggestion- John suggested having an event at the new Whitewater Park. He suggested having a social one day after work. We decided that it would be better to wait until the spring to do this event because of several other events & football games. WE would like to look at April for the event. Everyone agreed it would be a cool place to get alumni together. It was also suggested to move the Wine Tasting to March since there are not other events in January, February, or March.
