3. Update on Spring Events

Golf Tournament- April 20th – As of today we are _ full for the tournament. All sponsors from last year have renewed. We are still in need of raffle items. If you have any contacts or would like to pursue local businesses for items, please let Lark or Jennifer know. (Suggestions: hotels, restaurants, salons, golf shops, etc.) Jennifer will contact Seth to inquire about giveaways from Tech. An email blast will be sent out at the end of March for the Go
Wine Tasting/ Silent Auction- June 2nd –We are confirmed to have the Wine Tasting on Saturday, June 2nd at Dolce Vita Wine Bar in NoDa. Committee members are working to secure auction items. David, please post this on the website under upcoming events.
Speaker Event – We are going to have the speaker at the Wine Tasting again this year. Seth will confirm a speaker from Tech.
New Member Event- We are going to host a VT reception at the Pops in the Park on Sunday, June 24th. Randi is going to send out an e-vite for this event.
Family Cookout- We would like to have our 2nd annual Family Cookout on Sunday, August 12th. Randi is looking into Freedom Park again this year.

June Event (Habitat or Re-Store) - Lauren is checking into dates for us to volunteer.

Member Database- There is a request to have a website for Hokies to post resumes and jobs in the area. We were thinking of some sort of Blog type page if anyone is interested in taking on this project please let Jennifer know.
Football Watching 2007- Jillian’s, Boudreaux’s, CANS- Jennifer & Franklin are looking into alternate locations for Football watching parties this fall. We are going to visit these locations and see what they can offer our group.
