1. Community Service
Update
- Operation Christmas Child
Update - We had 22 volunteers on Dec. 7th.
- Loaves & Fishes Donation-
presented check for $1,131.37 on December
22nd
- Habitat- John is contacting
them before next meeting in hopes of nailing
down a date.
We need to encourage people to sign up online.
2. Mailer Update
- Tech is in the process
of drafting our Winter Mailer. (this is
the 3rd mailer we were approved for) It
will be mainly dedicated to the Golf Tournament
which is scheduled for Friday April 21st
2006.
- The final mailer will include
the Wachovia Championship, Wine Tasting,
& Habitat .
3. Officer Update
- Suzanne had to step down
out of her role as Co-Community Service
Chair, so we are going to need to assign
someone to spearhead the Avon Walk if we
decide to participate.
- We have a few alumni
that are new to the area that would like
to become more involved. I have invited
them to the February meeting.
4. Events Update
- We have lost our Tea &
Silent Auction planners with the departure
of Tabitha and Mariah. If anyone is interested
in taking on this event, please let me know.
- The Wine Tasting is tentatively
scheduled for May 20th. Look at moving date
due to start of speed week.
- The Golf Tournament will
be held Friday April 21st at Pine Lake Country
Club in Mint Hill.
- Nikki has a wedding 11/11/06,
so don’t plan beer tasting that week.
5. Fundraising Update
- We need to evaluate our
Fundraising efforts this fall and decide
what we are planning on doing going forward.
- The Wachovia Championship
is scheduled for May 1st-7th. I believe
we decided we wanted to try and volunteer
this year. We need to start planting bugs
in people’s ears as far as volunteers
are concerned.
